Educational Qualification & Eligibility
Candidates must:
- Be a regularly appointed Lower Division Clerk (LDC) / Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) in the Central Secretariat Clerical Service (CSCS).
- Have at least five years of approved continuous service in the LDC grade as on 01 August 2025 (or four years in specified cases mentioned in the notification).
- Fulfil the other departmental eligibility conditions prescribed by DoPT.
This examination is not open to fresh graduates or direct applicants.
Age Limit
The official notification does not prescribe a separate upper age limit for this departmental examination. Candidates must satisfy the departmental service eligibility conditions mentioned in the notification.
Selection Process
The selection process includes:
- Computer Based Examination (CBT)
- Evaluation of APAR/Service Records
- Document Verification
The final merit list will be prepared based on the prescribed evaluation process.
Salary
Selected candidates will be promoted to:
- Senior Secretariat Assistant / Upper Division Clerk
- Pay Level-4 (7th CPC)
- ₹25,500 – ₹81,100
Additional Central Government allowances and benefits will be applicable as per rules.
