🎓 Eligibility Criteria

To successfully submit your application, you must clear three primary eligibility baselines: Nationality, Education, and Age Limits (calculated as of August 1, 2026).

1. Educational Qualification

• For Most Posts: A Bachelor’s Degree in any stream/discipline from a recognized university.

• Junior Statistical Officer (JSO): Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with at least 60% in Mathematics at the 12th standard level OR a Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics as one of the graduation subjects.

• Statistical Investigator Grade-II: Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics as a compulsory or elective subject.

💡 Final Year Students: If you are in your final year of graduation, you can still apply, provided you complete your degree and produce the pass certificate before the specified crucial cutoff date/document verification phase.

2. Age Limit & Pay Scale (Post-Wise)

The general age bracket is 18 to 32 years, but it varies distinctly depending on the post group and pay level:

• Pay Level 7 & 8 (18–30 / 20–30 years): Assistant Section Officer (ASO), Inspector (Income Tax, Central Excise, Preventive Officer, Examiner), Sub-Inspector in CBI, etc.

• Junior Statistical Officer (Up to 32 years)

• Pay Level 4 & 5 (18–27 years): Auditor, Accountant, Tax Assistant, Upper Division Clerk (UDC).

Standard age relaxations apply: 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, and 10 years for PwBD candidates.

📝 Examination Pattern

The selection process relies entirely on a two-tier Computer Based Test (CBT) matrix.

Tier-I Exam Pattern (Qualifying Only)

Tier-I consists of 100 multiple-choice questions for a total of 200 marks. Note that this tier is qualifying in nature—its marks won’t dictate your final merit rank.

• Sections: General Intelligence & Reasoning (25 Qs), General Awareness (25 Qs), Quantitative Aptitude (25 Qs), English Comprehension (25 Qs).

• Duration: 60 Minutes total.

• Negative Marking: 0.50 marks deducted for every wrong answer.

Tier-II Exam Pattern (Merit Deciding)

Your final score and post allocation depend entirely on Tier-II. It features sectional timing constraints:

• Paper I (Compulsory for all posts): Divided into Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning, English Language, General Awareness, and a qualifying Computer Knowledge module, alongside a Data Entry Speed Test (DEST).

• Paper II: Statistics (Only for JSO and Statistical Investigator positions).

• Negative Marking: 1.00 mark deducted for incorrect answers in Paper I (Sections I, II, and III).

3. Log in with your new Registration Number and Password.
